It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Irene Martha Dudziec (Gabryelski), a beloved mother, grandmother, daughter, sister, aunt, and friend. Irene was born on September 17, 1932, in Philadelphia, PA. Irene’s memory will be forever cherished by her children, Diane Glasser (Thomas Wike), Joseph Dudziec, and Susan Stintsman (Scott), son-in-law Robert Eastman, as well as her grandchildren, Amy, Kelly, Carolyn, Maisie, John, Joseph, Sara, and Nicholas, her nieces and nephews, and all those who were fortunate enough to have known her. Irene was preceded in death by her husband John Dudziec, daughter, Nancy Eastman, father and mother, Paul and Stella (Mroczynska) Gabryelski, and siblings, Wallace, Helen Adams, and Walter. Irene worked as a typist for a weekly newspaper during her senior year at Mastbaum, and upon graduation she got a job at Sears Warehouse. After learning to drive, she was employed at Simonds Abrasive as a file clerk and secretary. This is where she met her husband and was then married for 44 years. As her children became school-aged, she started a part time cashier job at the Crystal Terrace Restaurant at Strawbridge and Clothier and worked her way up to full time manager. Her hard work, dedication and kindness were evident to all who knew her, leaving a lasting impact on her colleagues and customers alike. She retired about the time she became a grandmother. She was always present for her grandchildren, attending their recitals, shows, school and church events. She was a founding member of St. Ephrem Church since 1966. She faithfully attended Mass and had a strong faith that she passed on to her family. Irene was a good cook and seamstress. She was a seasoned traveler, touring the US with her family and later Hawaii and much of Europe. She especially enjoyed the trips she took to Disney with her grandchildren. In her later years, she enjoyed frequent phone calls with her close cousin Dolores Lynch, keeping up with her favorite tv shows, and playing Rummikub. Irene was a pillar of strength to all. She was a good listener, and always gave good advice. Her memory will forever live on in the hearts of all who knew her. A Mass in honor of Irene's life will be held at St. Ephrem Church, 5400 Hulmeville Road, Bensalem, Pa 19020 on June 12, 2024, at 11:00 am. preceded by a public viewing starting at 10:00 am.
