Irene N. Lake

Irene Lake, almost 90 years young, passed away peacefully in her sleep, in her PINK princess bed, at home, just as she wished on July 22, 2021 in the arms of her daughter and caregiver, Nancy. Irene was predeceased by the love of her life, husband Joseph, her beloved son Edwin Paul, and only granddaughter Joel Giardine-Cassidy, her shining star. Irene is survived by her little sister Shirley Runyon of Pa., Aunt Ruth Paul of Phila. Pa, her two loving daughters, Shirley Lake of Indiana and Nancy Evans of FL, who has been Irene's buddy and caregiver these past 11 years. Irene is also survived by her great granddaughter Bella Cassidy of Indiana, the light of her life. She was always mom to Cindy Erickson, who she loved and called her daughter, as well as Joel Giardine who mom counted as her other son and his lovely wife Terrie, another daughter. And to the entire Giardine and Cassidy families, much love, and hugs, and affection to all. There are many, many special friends mom loved very much as well. Her Bestie, Aunt Janet Gosin, Pat and Ed Effrig, Rich Sosenski, Shirley Elder, Sue and Jerry Fischer and many others she will greet in Heaven.
