James A. Curran Jr., a devoted husband, father, and esteemed member of the community, peacefully passed away on March 14, 2024, surrounded by his loving family in Bensalem, PA. Born on October 26, 1940, in Philadelphia, PA, James leaves behind a legacy of selfless service and unwavering dedication to those around him.
Throughout his life, James served his community in various capacities, demonstrating his commitment to helping others. As a proud Life Member of the Eddington Fire Company, a member of the Philadelphia Fire Department Reserves, an EMT with Burholme Rescue, and the Captain of the Bucks County Fire Police, James exemplified courage and compassion in the face of adversity. Additionally, his leadership as the President of the Blue Army at Our Lady of Fatima Church, a member of the Bucks County HOGSan instructor at the National Institute of Emergency Care, Inc showcased his deep-rooted values of faith, generosity, and mentorship.
James was a man of integrity and vision, who dedicated his career to the financial industry as the President of Corporation Guarantee and Trust Company. His contributions to the field made a lasting impact, reflecting his strong work ethic and commitment to excellence.
James is survived by his loving daughters, Carol Frye (Fiancé Ronald), Bernadette Placido, Antoinette Christensen, and his son, David Curran (girlfriend Sara), as well as his grandchildren, Robert, Martina (boyfriend Wes), Brandon (Ilissa) Ryan(Leah), Christopher, CJ, Mandy, and Bobby, great grandchildren, Xiomara, Odin, Bralyn, RJ, Brandon Jr., and Sloane. He will be dearly missed by his family, friends, and all those whose lives he touched through his kindness and service. James was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 50 years, Helen, his son, James, grandson, Anthony, and siblings, Michael and Germaine.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend his viewing Thursday, March 21, 2024, from 10 to 11 AM at the Tomlinson Funeral Home, 2207 Bristol Pike, Bensalem, PA 19020, followed by his service at 11 AM.
