We are deeply saddened to announce the passing of James Anthony DeVita II, a beloved husband, father, and friend, on April 14, 2024. Born on April 12, 1951, in Philadelphia, PA, to Anthony J. and Sue R. Devita, James was a dedicated individual who found joy in playing pinochle, fishing, and watching movies on Turner Classics.
James enlisted in the Army on July 29, 1969, and served his country with honor until his discharge on July 26, 1975, achieving the rank of SP5 E5. Following his military service, he devoted over 20 years working in a family furniture business which he left to become a custodian for the Bensalem School District.
He is survived by his loving wife, Donna DeVita, and his son, James DeVita. James' memory will be cherished by all who knew him.
Funeral services for James will be held at St. Ephrem Church on Tuesday, April 23, 2024, with a public viewing beginning at 10:00 am and a Mass at 11:00 am. Following the services, interment will take place at Resurrection Cemetery. In honoring his life, we remember James Anthony DeVita II's warmth, kindness, and commitment to his family and community. He will forever be remembered for his gentle spirit and love for his family. May his soul rest in peace.
