Janine Marie Drew

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Janine Marie

(Hines) Drew, a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. Janine

passed away on January 21, 2024, at her home in Bensalem,

Pennsylvania, at the age of 67.

Born on April 12, 1956, in Putney, England, Janine moved to the

United States at the age of three with her parents John and Dorothy Hines and her older brother John. She grew up in Warwick, Rhode Island, attending Toll Gate High School. During that time she worked at Kent County Memorial Hospital in Warwick. It was there that she met her future husband, Peter who also worked at the hospital.

Janine attended the University of Rhode Island, obtaining a bachelor's degree in Nursing in 1978. She and Peter relocated to Philadelphia and married in 1979.

With a bachelor’s degree in hand, she began her career in the healthcare industry, working as a

dedicated registered nurse first in the ICU and then the PACU at Nazareth Hospital.

Janine's true joy and inspiration stemmed from her family. She cherished time spent with her husband, Peter Drew, her daughter Meghan Drew and her husband Matthew Bergey, her son Christopher Drew and his wife Karen Morrison, and her treasured grandchild, Evelyn Bergey. Family gatherings were always filled with love, laughter, and memories that will be held dear forever.

Outside of her career and family, Janine found solace and fulfillment in

her hobbies. She had a talent for cross-stitching, creating intricate

designs that displayed her creativity and attention to detail. A voracious

reader, she could often be found immersed in the pages of a good

book. Her green thumb was evident in her beautifully maintained garden.

In honor of Janine's life, a viewing will be held at Tomlinson Funeral

Home on January 27, 2024, starting at 10:00 AM. A ceremony

celebrating her life and legacy will follow at 11:00 AM. Interment will

take place at Resurrection Cemetery.

Janine Marie Drew touched the lives of many, leaving behind a legacy of

love, compassion, and dedication. Her presence will be deeply missed,

but her memory will forever remain in the hearts of all who were

fortunate enough to have known her.
