It is with a heavy heart that we announce the passing of Jason R. Pienta, who left us on Saturday June 21, 2025, after his courageous battle with cancer. Born on May 25, 1973, in Rehoboth, NM and was a resident of Langhorne for the past 8 years. Jason was a graduate of Millersville University.
Jason dedicated his career to teaching at Maple Point Middle School, where he spent 26 years inspiring young minds. He was known for his patience, creativity, and genuine care for his students. Even throughout his courageous battle with intrahepatic bile duct carcinoma, Jason remained a beacon of strength, inspiring countless students with his kindness, creativity, and unwavering dedication.
Jason was all about family fun, whether it was cheering for the New York Jets while being a season tickets holder for 16 years, biking around the neighborhood, or enjoying a Phillies game with Rachelle – he filled every moment with joy.
Jason is survived by his loving wife, Rachelle Genco, and his cherished stepchildren, Madison and Matthew Genco. He adored his family, including his father, Theodore “Ted” R Pienta, Jr (Faith) and his late mother, Kathleen Marie (Lawrence) Griscom; his stepfather, Ben Griscom, and his stepsiblings, Lee White (Lisa), Michelle Besser (Ira), his mother-in-law, Marie Levine; sister-in-law, Tina Levine; cousin, James “Jimmy” O’Brien; and his loving dog, Parker Pienta and countless loving nieces, nephews, extended family members and friends. Jason was also preceded by his stepmother, Bonnie Pienta.
Jason leaves behind a legacy of love, dedication, and resilience. His impact will be felt in every classroom he stood in, every life he uplifted, and every heart that now carries his memory.
Let’s gather together not just to mourn but to celebrate the legacy of love, laughter, and resilience that Jason leaves behind. His spirit will forever inspire those who had the joy of knowing him, both in classrooms and in life’s everyday adventures. Join us as we honor Jason and all the wonderful memories, he gifted us.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend his visitation Wednesday July 2, 2025, from 10 to 12 PM at the Tomlinson Funeral Home, 2207 Bristol Pike, Bensalem, PA 19020, followed by his service at 12 PM. Interment Sunset Memorial Park.
