Jean Tulinski

April 15, 1922 — December 23, 2015

Jean Tulinski left this earth on Wednesday, December 23, 2015, from complications of a stroke. She was a powerhouse of a woman. Born Jean Mary Ciakis on April 15, 1922. She grew up in the Port Richmond section of Philadelphia. She married Edwin Tulinski, September 9, 1945, moved to Bensalem, PA in 1955 where Jean lived for the remainder of her life. Jean and Ed were married for 25 years until he passed away in October of 1970. After Ed’s death, Jean tended bar at the Protective Order of Elks Lodge in Morrisville and the Fallsington American Legion Post 834 until at the age of 83 she retired. She lived her final years in the house she loved under the tender care of her daughter and son-in-law Dina and Robert McLean.

Jean was a woman to be reckoned with. She had a strong determined will that served her well especially through the death of her husband and her daughter, Jeanne Leist. She saw a lot of changes in her lifetime and was a strong pillar of support to both her children and grandchildren. She was a loving mother to her 4 children, the late Jeanne Leist, Thomas Tulinski and his wife Louise, of Fruit Cove, Florida, Marianne Ellner and her husband Paul, of Auburn, California and Dina McLean and her husband Bob, of Bensalem, PA and down-to-earth, caring mom-mom to her 13 grandchildren, 3 of which she significantly participated in raising, John David, TJ and Tracey Jean and 10 great grandchildren.

Mom, you were always there for us over the years. You had a strong will and a spine of steal and could outlast any of your children when it came to having a good time. We are sure you are up in heaven with Daddy and Jeanne enjoying the view and keeping your watchful eye on all of us. You will always be in our hearts. We love you.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend her viewing Tuesday from 9:30 to 10:30 AM at St. Thomas Aquinas Church, 601 Bristol Pike, Croydon, PA 19021, followed by her Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 AM. Rite of Committal Resurrection Cemetery. www.tomlinsonfh.com
