It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Joan E. Campbell, a beloved mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend, who left us peacefully on July 28, 2025, at the age of 83. Born on June 15, 1942, in Philadelphia, PA, to the late Francis and Marguerite (nee Mahoney) Eliason, Joan dedicated her life to nurturing her family and serving her community with unwavering love and compassion.
Joan was a cherished member of St. Ephrem Church, where she found solace and strength in her strong Catholic faith, drawing inspiration from God and the Blessed Mother. Her commitment to her faith led her to actively participate in prayer groups, where she formed lasting friendships and provided support to those in need.
A passionate gardener, Joan reveled in the beauty of nature, often spending countless hours tending to her flowers and plants. However, her greatest joy came from spending time with her beloved family. She is survived by her children, Joanie Campbell, Chrissy Kilchrist (Bob), Bernie Campbell, Michael Campbell, Billy Campbell (Marie), Tim Campbell, Jeanine Campbell (Frank), and Patrick Campbell (Nicole), as well as her 25 grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren, plus 2 on the way, and her siblings, Lisa (Jim), Bob (Peg), Theresa (Rob), Ed (Cathy), and Tommy (Nancy). Joan's warmth, kindness, and wisdom will forever be remembered and cherished by her family and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband of 57 years, Bernard J Campbell Jr in 2020 and her siblings, Marge, Frank (Joan), and Marie (the late Jim).
Relatives and friends are invited to attend Joan’s visitation at St. Ephrem Church, 5400 Hulmeville Road, Bensalem, PA 19020 on Monday, August 4th from 10:00-11:00 AM, followed by her Mass at 11:00 AM. Interment will be private.
As we gather to celebrate the life of Joan E. Campbell, we invite those who knew and loved her to join us in remembering the radiant spirit of a woman who touched so many lives. Her legacy of love, faith, and family will live on in our hearts forever.
