Joan A. Gallagher

Joan A. (nee Bonanomi) Gallagher, 82, died peacefully at home on November 09, 2015. Joan was born and raised in Philadelphia and summered in Oakford as a child. She has resided in Bensalem since 1952. She spent most of her years raising and enjoying her family. Her husband, whom she met at age13, was the love of her life; her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren were her pride and joy. She worked for Strawbridge and Clothier in the 1980s. She is survived by her husband of over 63 years, Thomas F. Gallagher, Sr.; her children Thomas Jr. (Patricia), Robert (Christine), Cheryl McKeown (William) and Marian Gallagher; 8 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her sister-in-laws, brother-in-law, nieces, nephews, great and great-great nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, Fernand and Alice Bonanomi, and siblings F. Joseph “Bud” Bonanomi and A. Marie Scott. Relatives and friends are invited to attend her viewing Monday from 9:30 to 10:30 AM at St. Ephrem Church, 5400 Hulmeville Rd., Bensalem, PA 19020, followed by her Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 AM. Rite of Committal Resurrection Cemetery. Mass cards are appreciated by the family.
