Joan E Grow

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Joan E. (Edwards) Grow, who passed away peacefully on Saturday August 15, 2026, at the age of 88. Born on October 21, 1937, in Philadelphia, PA, to the late Anna (Mack) and William Edwards, she was a resident of Bensalem for over 60 years. Joan spent her lifetime spreading warmth and joy to those around her.

Joan dedicated 25 years of her life to working as an administrative assistant in the business department at Bucks County Community College, a job she truly loved. Beyond her career, Joan’s passions ran deep. She was an avid reader and was devoted to caring for her home and yard. Joan was also an enthusiastic traveler who enjoyed creating beautiful memories on her journeys. Known for her incredible cooking skills, she made every gathering special with her delicious meals and her signature Sangria, and oldies music.

Joan was also a spirited volunteer, sharing her time and talents at Bensalem United Methodist Church and as a den mother for the Cub Scouts. Her involvement of supporting a child with compassion international for many years and a testament to her generous spirit. A member of the beloved Red Hat Society and a Charter Member of the Bristol Riverside Theatre, she always brought energy and enthusiasm wherever she went. Whether cross-country skiing with the "Snow Bunnies" or simply enjoying the company of dear lifelong friends, Joan's joy was infectious.

Joan was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 43 years, William D. Grow. She will be deeply missed by her children: Stephen Grow (Bonnie), Robert Grow (Annmarie), and Linda Small (Edward). Joan’s legacy will continue through her grandchildren: Justin, Jordan, Eric, and Caroline, along with her great-grandchildren: Olivia, John, Makayla, and Madison. Each of them held a special place in her heart. Joan was preceded in death by her sister, Barbara White.
