It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Joan A (Cook) Smith, who passed away peacefully in her sleep on Sunday, July 26, 2026, at the age of 93. Born in Bensalem, PA to the late Wiliam and Evelyn (Howarth) Cook, Joan embraced life with a warmth and generosity that touched all who knew her. What she cherished most was her unwavering devotion to her family.

Joan was preceded in death by her loving husband of 74 years, Joseph M. Smith and her kind-hearted daughter-in-law, Joyce (Mayne) Smith, she leaves behind her children: Joseph E. Smith, Judy L. Smith, Daniel T. Smith (Berenice), and Kenneth Smith (Kristin). Her grandchildren: Eric (Brooke), Amber (Jason), Shawn (Kristina), Janinne, Daniel (Kim), Colin (Abbi), Matthew (Chelsea), Tyler (Amanda), Nicholas, and Hunter. Her great-grandchildren: Mia, Anthony, Cameron, Caitylyn, Ava, Ayden, Kai, Amelia, Raeyah, Marley, Sophie, Hannah, Brayden, Carson, Cooper and Ryan.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend her viewing Monday, August 3, 2026, from 10 to 11 AM at the Tomlinson Funeral Home, 2207 Bristol Pike, Bensalem, PA 19020, followed by her service at 11 AM. Interment will take place at Resurrection Cemetery. www.tomlinsonfh.com
