John Parke Bailey died on December 22, 2025 at his home. He was born on July 6, 1935 in Dunkirk, NY to Clinton M. Bailey and Mary Ellen Parke Bailey. He was the older of two children. He graduated from Dunkirk High School, Class of 1953. He attended the University of Maryland, where he was a member of Phi Sigma Kappa fraternity. He joined the United States Marine Corps in 1953 and was honorably discharged with the rank of Sergeant in 1961. He was a Korean War veteran. He was a lifetime member of the Marine Corps League, All Divisions Detachment, lifetime member of the VFW, member of Jesse Solby Post 148 American Legion, Langhorne, Pa, President of the Home Association and Senior and Junior Vice Commandant of All Divisions. He was a lifelong and avid golfer and a member of the Professional Cubmakers Society. He retired from the Jericho National Golf Club of New Hope, Pa.
He is predeceased by his parents and his beloved wife, Dr. Mary B. Lloyd. He is survived by his daughters, Kelly Andreoli (Pasquale) of Wilmington, DE, and Kristen Bailey of Alexandria, Va, his brother, Milo of Cape Coral, Fl, and many wonderful nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend his visitation Friday January 2, 2026, from 10:00 to 11:00 AM at the Tomlinson Funeral Home, 2207 Bristol Pike, Bensalem, PA 19020, followed by his memorial service at 11:00 AM. Interment will be private. www.tomlinsonfh.com
