It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of John T. Ehresmann Sr., a beloved husband, father, grandfather, great- grandfather, uncle, and friend, who entered into eternal rest on November 3, 2025, in Oakford, PA.
Born in Philadelphia, PA, on April 21, 1947, to the late Harrison and Florence (nee Harner) Ehresmann, John grew up with a love for music, which became a cherished soundtrack throughout his life. He devoted many years to working as a truck driver for RIS/Domtar Paper Company and was a proud retired member of Teamsters Local 107.
John was not only dedicated to his work; he was also deeply committed to his community. His passion for coaching softball and involvement with the Bucks County Special Olympics reflected his generous spirit and desire to uplift those around him. John was known as the life of the party, bringing jokes and much laughter to family gatherings and community events alike. He had an exceptional talent for cooking, often delighting his loved ones with his culinary creations.
John is survived by his devoted spouse, Dianna Ehresmann, and their four children: John T. Ehresmann Jr, Thomas Ehresmann (Jennifer), Marc Ehresmann (Priscilla), and Nicole Ehresmann (Bill), his 7 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren, as well as his many nieces and nephews. He will be remembered for his unwavering love and support, as well as his enduring impact on the lives he touched. John was preceded in death by his son, Shamus, his siblings, Dolly Wellington, Charlotte Friend, Joseph Licsauer, Patricia Schiazza, Harrison Ehresmann, Sally McKnight, Mae Wallace, Jacqueline Bauman, Jerry Ehresmann, and Maria Wiley.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend John’s viewing at the Tomlinson Funeral Home, 2207 Bristol Pike, Bensalem, Pa 19020 on Saturday, November 8, 2025 from 9:00-10:00 AM followed by his service at 10:00 AM. Interment will take place at Resurrection Cemetery.
