John W Ferst

John W. Ferst of Bensalem passed away Friday, August 4, 2023 at Nazareth Hospital, surrounded by his loving family. He was 82 years old. Born in Consohocken to the late Mary (Litka) and Walter Ferst was a resident of Bensalem for the past 2 years and was formerly of Philadelphia. John worked as a check processor for many years and retired with Melon Bank. After his retirement, John was known as the “Hedgeman” in the Pennypack area, for trimming and cutting his neighbors bushes for over 10 years, and was always willing to help those in need. He also was a collector of numerous things and loved spending time with family and friends. John will be deeply missed by his beloved wife of 42 years, Ann M. (Roger). He will also be sadly missed by his 4 children, James W. Ferst (Rosanne), William J. Ferst (Amee), Thomas J. Ferst (Heather) and Robert G. Ferst (Megan); His 6 grandchildren: Amanda, Gabby, Andrew, Molly, Hannah and Will and 1 great grandchild, Sophia; and many other loving family members and friends. Relatives and friends are invited to attend his visitation, Saturday, August 19, 2023, from 9:30 to 10:30 AM at St. Charles Borromeo Church, 1731 Hulmeville Rd., Bensalem, PA 19020, followed by his Mass at 10:30 AM. Interment will be private.
