John C. Hippel

John “Chick” C. Hippel of Bensalem passed away Saturday, July 31, 2021 at Jefferson-Torresdale Hospital. He was 76 years old. Born in Philadelphia, Chick was a resident of Bensalem for the last 23 years. Chick worked as a carpenter with Local#1846 in Louisiana and Local#1856 in Philadelphia for 16 years. He was an avid Philadelphia sports fan and proud US Army Veteran. Chick also enjoyed playing pool, darts, golfing, camping, stargazing and spending time with family and friends on the river at their home. Chick will be lovingly missed by his beloved partner/wife of 45 years, Karen N. (Dougherty). He is also survived by his two loving children: Harry J. Hippel (Jill) and Julie A. Phair; his grandson: Axel and his sister, Jeane McIlhenny (Charles). Relatives and friends are invited to attend his Graveside Service, Friday, September 17, 2021 at precisely 9:30am at Washington Crossing National Cemetery, 830 Highland Rd, Newtown, PA 18940.
