John Thomas Nevins

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of John Thomas Nevins, age 65, of Bensalem, Pennsylvania, on January 26, 2026, after a brave battle with cancer. John was born on July 20, 1960, in Philadelphia, PA, to the late Joseph Edward and Mildred Rose (née Brady) Nevins. He will be remembered by all who knew him for his warmth, generosity, kind heart, and unforgettable spirit.

John loved his children and grandchildren deeply, and his brothers and sisters remained an important part of his life. He is survived by his children, Erin Nevins Locke (Nathan) and Patrick Nevins (Dani), and by his cherished grandchildren, Savannah and Brianna Locke, who brought him joy and pride.

John shared an especially close bond with his mother, Mildred Rose, whom he loved deeply. One of his greatest joys was tending to and planting her garden for her, a quiet act of love that reflected his caring nature and devotion, which continued until her passing.

He is also survived by his loving siblings: Mary Jane Wolf, Mildred Rose Coombs (Edward), Joseph Edward Nevins (Marybeth), Edward Nevins (Amanda), Frances Peagler (Michael), and Margaret Neumann (Danny), as well as extended family who were an important part of his life.

John was a talented and successful salesman and construction auctioneer, known for his charisma, quick wit, and ability to connect with people. He always knew how to have a good time—and sometimes got into a little trouble because of it—but his laughter, stories, and larger-than-life presence made every room brighter. Beneath it all, John had a truly kind heart and was always willing to help others.

He had a deep passion for heavy machinery and construction equipment and found peace and happiness vacationing in Ogunquit, Maine, a place he truly loved.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend John’s viewing at Tomlinson Funeral Home, 2207 Bristol Pike, Bensalem, PA 19020, on Saturday, January 31st, from 3:00–4:00 PM, followed by a service at 4:00 PM. Interment will be private.

We encourage all who knew John to share their memories and stories, keeping his light alive in our hearts. May he rest in peace—forever missed, but never forgotten.
