John A. Sassani

John A. “Jack” Sassani of Croydon passed peacefully Wednesday, December 16, 2015 surrounded by his loving family. He was 68 years old. Jack was born in Philadelphia and has been a resident of Croydon for the last 30 years. Jack was the “Jack of all trades” and was employed as a Plumber, Barber, Building and Fire Inspector for Bristol Twp, and most recently a Fire Inspector for Keystone Municipal Services LLC. Jack loved his community and was a life time member of the Croydon Fire Company Station #11 where he was a past Vice President, Treasurer and Photographer. He was also a member of the Bristol Elk’s Lodge #970 and helped form The Mummers in California. Jack also enjoyed hunting, fishing, and making homemade wine but his greatest joy and love in life was of course his family. Jack will be sadly missed by his beloved wife of 36 years Eleanor A. (nee Gleason). He is survived by his two loving children Maria Lester (Derrik) and Anthony Sassani (Sarah); also survived by his sisters Andrea Perez (Joseph) and Yvonne Wagner (William); Grandchildren Lleyton, Anthony, Ava, Sophia and Llayla; sister-in-laws Margaret Butler and Regina Ricketts and numerous nieces, nephews and friends. Relatives and friends are invited to attend his viewing Tuesday Eve, December 22, from 7 to 9 PM at the Tomlinson Funeral Home, P.C., 2207 Bristol Pike, Bensalem, PA 19020 and again Wednesday, December 23, from 10 to 11 AM, followed by his service at 11 AM. Interment Resurrection Cemetery. The family wishes to thank Dr. Earl King, Dr. Richard Greenburg, Croydon Fire Company Station #11 and the Bucks County Rescue Squad for all of their care and support.
