John H. Transue

John “Jack” H. Transue Jr of Newtown, passed away on Thursday July 11, 2024, surrounded by his loving family. He was 87 years old. Born in Philadelphia to the late Amy (Suteliffe) and John H. Transue, Sr and was formerly of Philadelphia and Bensalem. Jack proudly served in the United States Navy. After his military service, he pursued a successful career in entrepreneurship, owning and operating Northeast Disposal before founding Raging Waters Auto Wash, a business he managed for over two decades.

John had a zest for life that was contagious. He was an enthusiastic traveler, an avid supporter of Philadelphia sports, and took up skiing with his beloved wife well into their sixties. He valued time spent with family above all else, relishing moments with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Jack was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 62 years, Loretta “Lori” L. (Young) Transue. He will be deeply missed by his 3 loving children, Donna Tamasitis (John), John, III (Karen) and Mark Transue (Ronni), as well as his cherished sister, Barbara Vile. Jack is also survived by 7 grandchildren, John Transue, IV (Laura), Julie Murphy (Ryan), Kevin (Megan) and Jackson Tamasitis (Brennan), Mark (Elizabeth), Shawn (Brianna) and Austin Transue and 7 great grandchildren, Violet and Ruby Transue, Jack and Shane Murphy, Riley and Tucker Tamasitis and Lucia Transue.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend his viewing Thursday July 18, 2024, from 8:30 to 10:30 AM at the Tomlinson Funeral Home, 2207 Bristol Pike, Bensalem, PA 19020, followed by his service at 10:30 AM. Interment Washington Crossing National Cemetery.
