Joseph G. Ciaudelli, of Andalusia, passed on January 27, 2024 following a long battle with cancer. Born on December 31, 1983, he was the son of Felicia M. Ciaudelli (deceased).
Joe was a Customer Service Representative at the IRS in Philadelphia.
Joe graduated from LaSalle University with a BA in Religion.
Joe was a lifelong resident of Andalusia and was actively involved with his parish, St. Charles Borromeo. Joe had years of enjoyment singing in the St. Charles Choir with his mother. At St. Charles He was an Altar Boy, Lector and Cantor. He was a 4th Degree Knight of Columbus, Joe devoted many hours to St Charles, and cherished all the friendships he gained through it.
Joe played Saxophone and tuba in the Archbishop Ryan High School Band, but more importantly it was at Ryan he would begin his lifelong passion for singing and acting. That passion followed him to LaSalle where he continued to perform. When Joe joined The Star Players of Philadelphia Parks and Recreation, he was ecstatic. He won the Actor of the Year Award for his role in “Damn Yankees.” The commitment and hard work with all the Players fostered a strong loving bond that Joe treasured.
Many of his friends described him as a “gentle giant.” He always had a smile and a kind word for everyone he met. He loved life and he loved people. Joe had the innate quality to bring the best out of people. Joe will be sorely missed by everyone who knew him.
Joe participated in a cancer study at University of Pennsylvania Medical Center. He stood front and center in cancer research. Throughout his many hours of treatment Joe stayed positive not complaining about anything except the hospital menu, His uncles said that Joe was the only person who gained weight during chemo treatment. The Ciaudelli Family wishes to thank the staff at University of Pennsylvania Presbyterian Hospital. Their professionalism, courtesy and excellent care of Joe are greatly appreciated.
Joe was preceded in death by his mother Felicia M., his grandmother Julia A. and his grandfather Martin B. Ciaudelli.
Joe is survived by his uncle’s Frank (Susan), Marty and Joe, his cousins Julia Ciaudelli and Raymond Clarke
