Joseph E. Ricca, of Philadelphia, passed away at his home on November 12, 2021. He was 54 years old. Joseph was an avid outdoorsman, who loved to hunt and fish, especially with his family and friends. He frequented the Hudson and Delaware Rivers, Atlantic Ocean and Flaming Gorge Reservoir. One of his favorite spots is the Sleeping Indian Mountain range.
His dearest accomplishments are his 4 children, whom he loved deeply; his daughters Jordyn, Madison, MeKayla, and his son Brennan. He was looking forward to his first grandchild due in April 2022. Also near and dear to his heart are his parents, Emil and Rina Ricca, and his two sisters, Rina (Steven) Kopchinski and Danielle (William) Johnson. He enjoyed time with his aunt, Rita Feikel. In addition to many loving nieces, nephews and cousins who survive him as well as his nephew, Steven Kopchinski, Jr, who preceded him in death.
He was fortunate to have many wonderful friends from all over the country and made lasting connections with everyone he met. Relatives and friends are invited to attend his viewing at the Tomlinson Funeral Home, 2207 Bristol Pike, Bensalem, PA 19020 on Wednesday November 17 from 6-7 p.m. followed by his service at 7 p.m.
The family asks that everyone who attends wear their favorite Philly sports apparel. A Celebration of Life will be held at a future date somewhere in the Rocky Mountains for his West Coast family and friends. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in his name to Grand Teton National Park. Check or money order can be sent to “National Park Service”.
