Joseph Matthew Smith

It is with heavy heart that we announce the passing of Joseph M. Smith, on November 15, 2023. He was 92 years old and was from Philadelphia. He was a devoted husband, loving father, grandfather and friend.

Joseph worked as an executive in the Dairy Industry, retiring from Leigh Valley Dairies in 1997. He was also a member of the Uptown String Band.

Joseph is survived by his wife Joan Alice (nee Cook), his children Joseph E. Smith (Joyce), Judy Lee Smith, Daniel T. Smith (Berenice), and Kenneth Smith (nee Kristen). His grandchildren Eric (Brooke), Amber (Jason), Shawn (Kristian), Janinne, Daniel (Kimberly), Colin (Abbi), Matthew (Chelsea), Tyler (Amanda), Nicholas and Hunter, great grandchildren Mia, Anthony, Cameron, Caitlyn, Ava, Ayden, Kai, Amelia, Raeyah, Marley, Brayden and Carson.

Joseph’s Viewing at St. Ephrem Church, 5400 Hulmeville Road, Bensalem, Pa 19020 on Monday, November 20th from 9:30-10:30 AM followed by his Mass at 10:30 AM. Interment will take place at Resurrection Cemetery.
