Joseph R. Souders

Joseph R. Souders of Bensalem, the oldest of four children born September 22, 1941 to Joseph A and Helen Souders –Perrong passed away unexpectedly Saturday, June 20th . He was the beloved husband of Rosann for almost 52 years. Raised in Southwest Philadelphia Joe graduated from West Philadelphia Catholic High School for Boys in 1959. He continued his education at the Academy of Advanced Traffic, a business school for those entering the trucking industry. He went on to receive an Associate Degree from Bucks County Community College. His main interest was Nascar and for over 20 years was President of a local Nascar Club. Many were grateful for his efforts to help those in need through club benefits. Whether for hospital, funeral or the yearly $500 Christmas gift to a local needy family Joe gave it his all. He thanked Children’s Hospital for the care they gave his grandson by holding a walkathon in Neshaminy State Park raising $600.00. His other interests were music of days gone by, history and politics. Besides his wife Joe is survived by his children Michael R. (Nicole), Robert P. and Kathryn L. (Owen Kamihira). Six grandchildren, Sydney, Dylan, Zachary, Corey, Maia and Ysabella. At his request there will be no service, but in remembrance of all the good times spent at the Jersey Shore, cremains will be spread upon the water in Somers Point.
