Kerri J. Pratt

February 14, 1955 — January 29, 2024

Kerri J. Pratt, beloved wife, mother, daughter, sister, and friend, passed away on January 29, 2024, aged 68. Born on February 14, 1955, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Kerri resided in Bensalem, Pennsylvania, with her devoted husband of 44 years Byron and beloved cat Coco.

With lots of laughter and love, Kerri dedicated her life to her family and home. She cherished her role as a homemaker and would often be found having sleepovers, living room picnics, and hunting for cicadas with her five grandchildren. She loved taking them on adventures and was always up for a road trip.

Kerri had an exceptional green thumb and loved her many plants. She’d often grow plentiful and beautiful gardens in the summers. She was also known for her exceptional quilting and sewing skills, often making blankets, bags and repairing items with ease for friends and family.

Education held enormous value for Kerri. She held a PhD in Cell Biology and was an accomplished researcher. She formerly held the position as Head Of Vascular Research at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital.

Kerri loved movies, rock music, and reading. She always continued her quest for knowledge. She was politically active, socially aware and took great pride in making sure her greatest accomplishments, her twin daughters Kristen and Shannon, both had her love for learning, open hearts, and big voices.

Kerri will forever be remembered for her kind-hearted nature, unlimited support, and great sense of humor. She leaves behind a legacy of love and compassion that will be cherished by her family and friends.

In addition to her husband Byron, her daughters Kristen (Matthew), Shannon (Mike), and grandchildren Justin, Anthony, Alex, Aaron, and Rebecca, she is survived by her loving mother Joan LaBriola, her sister Nicole Wolf (Tedd) and nieces Lily, Chelsea, Kacy, and Tina, as well as lifelong extended family and childhood friends Maureen Custer, Craig and Cookie Marvill. She was preceded in death by brother Tony (Lisa).

Kerri J. Pratt will be deeply missed and always remembered. Forever in every blooming flower, the chorus of a Metallica song, and in the pages of a great Science Fiction novel.
