It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Kevin William
Hummel, who departed this life on January 4, 2026, at the age of 54.
Born on January 20, 1971, in Philadelphia, PA, to Harry and the late
Joanne (nee Rooney) Hummel, Kevin was a beloved brother, son, and
friend who touched the lives of many with his kind heart and generous
spirit.
Kevin developed a deep love for sports and martial arts. He proudly
earned a black belt in Tae Kwon Do, showcasing his dedication and
discipline. Kevin's enthusiasm for sports extended beyond the dojo; he
actively participated in various athletic activities throughout his youth,
forging lifelong friendships on Airdrie Street and creating cherished
memories.
Though facing challenges later in life, Kevin remained resilient and
maintained a compassionate outlook, always finding joy in the little
things. He had a soft spot for animals, especially his beloved cats, who
provided him with comfort and companionship. His warmth and gentle
humor will be profoundly missed by all who knew him.
Kevin is survived by his father, Harry Hummel, and his sister, Kimberly
Cossaboon, brother-in-law, Kevin Cossaboon, nephew, Tyler Cossaboon,
great nephews, Michael Ramsher & Levi Ramsher, as well as his
beloved fur babies, Smokey, Sandy, Buddy, and Buster. Each of them
carries with them treasured memories of Kevin’s laughter and Love. He
will be forever reunited with his mother Joanne (nee Rooney) Hummel
and his nephew, Michael Ramsher, in heaven for eternity.
Services and interment are private.
In lieu of flowers, those wishing to honor Kevin's memory may consider
making a donation to a local animal shelter, reflecting his affection for
furry friends in need. Kevin will always be remembered for his strength,
kindness, and the light he brought into the lives of so many.
