Laura M. (Helm) Freeling, passed away on Wednesday February 14, 2024, at the age of 86. She was born on October 9, 1937, in Philadelphia, PA to the late Dorothy (Allen) and Herbert Helm and was a resident of Bensalem for the past 30 years.
Laura was the proud owner of Laura & Eddie's Candy Store, a beloved establishment in the community. Together with her husband, she spent many years creating a sweet haven for all who entered their doors. Her passion for candy brought joy to countless individuals, young and old alike.
Beyond her entrepreneurial spirit, Laura had a zest for life and a heart full of love. She cherished spending time with her grandchildren, and they held a special place in her heart. Whether it was sewing, quilting, crocheting, or fishing in her younger years, Laura always found joy in the simple pleasures of life.
One of Laura's simple pleasures was indulging in her favorite treat, vanilla ice cream and spying on her neighbors.
Laura was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 62 years, Edward F. Freeling, Sr. She will be deeply missed by her children, Edward F. Freeling Jr. (Vicki) and Laura Hadfield (Don). Laura is also survived by 5 grandchildren: Edward F. III (Sarah), Donny (Quin), Brad, Alyssa, Callie (Fiancé Kevin); 1 great-grandson, Mason and her extended family, Brooke, Jared, and Carlie Nigro.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend her viewing, Saturday, February 17, 2024, from 9:30 to 10:30 AM at the Tomlinson Funeral Home, 2207 Bristol Pike, Bensalem, PA 19020, followed by her service at 10:30 AM.
