Lawrence J. “Jack” Connelly, Sr. of Bensalem passed away Wednesday, April 22, 2015 at his residence. He was 88 years old. Jack was born in Bensalem and was a lifelong resident. He was employed as a carpenter with Local Union #1462 for 60 years. Jack was a proud WWII U.S. Marine Corps Veteran. He also belonged to American Legion Post #960 and VFW Post #6493 and was member of the Bensalem Citizens Club and was a Past Grand Master of Lodge#527, F.&A.M., and was 32nd Degree Mason. He was preceded in death by his wife Gertrude Ruth (nee Mulvey). He is survived by his loving sons Lawrence John, Jr. (Eileen), George A. and David S. Connelly and his daughters Phyllis Muth (Joseph), Karen J. Bates, Joanne Penner (Don) and his brother Lee Connelly (Rosie); 11 Grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren and many nieces, nephews and cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents Jerome and Agnes Connelly; son Norman E. Connelly and his brothers Jerome, Eugene “Pete” and Harold “Wit” Connelly. Relatives and friends are invited to attend his visitation Friday from 1 to 2:30 PM at the Tomlinson Funeral Home, P.C., 2207 Bristol Pike, Bensalem, PA 19020, followed by his service at 2:30 PM. The interment will take place on Monday, May 04, 2015 at Washington Crossing National Cemetery, 830 Highland Rd, Newtown, PA 18940 at preciously 2:30 PM. www.tomlinsonfh.com
