Lawrence Andrew Zemartis, a resident of Bensalem, Pennsylvania, passed away peacefully at the age of 89 on April 9, 2026. Born on July 19, 1936, in Philadelphia, PA, to the late Charles and Nellie (nee White) Zemartis, Lawrence lived a life of dedication to his family, his work as a painter, and his service as a proud member of the United States Marine Corps.
Lawrence was an embodiment of strength and love, not only for his country but also for his family. He is survived by his beloved spouse of 70 years, Myrtle Zemartis, his son, Lawrence Zemartis, and his daughter, Frances Zemartis, as well as his sisters Judy, Nancy, and Susan, and sister in-laws Marion and Fran. The deep bonds he created with his family will be cherished and remembered fondly by all who knew him. Lawrence was preceded in death by his grandchildren, William Andrew Zemartis and Kate Cahill, as well as his siblings,Barbara, Bertha, Charlotte, Charles, Joan, John, Patty, and Robert. Lawrence’s kindness, humor, and unwavering support touched many lives, and he will be dearly missed.
Services and interment will be private. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made in Lawrence’s name to a charity of choice to continue his legacy of giving and compassion.
Lawrence Andrew Zemartis will forever be remembered as a devoted family man, a proud Marine, and a true friend to many. His spirit lives on in the hearts of his loved ones.
