Leonard "Lenny" Callan, beloved husband, father, Peep, brother, and friend, passed away on Saturday April 27, 2024, at the age of 77. Born in Detroit, MI the late Wilma (Heyhurst) and Gerald Callan and was a resident of Levittown for the past 45 years. Lenny lived a vibrant life filled with dedication to his country, family, and community. He proudly served in the US Navy and later pursued a successful career as a plumber.
Lenny's laughter, kindness, and passion for fishing and the Detroit Lions resonated with all who knew him. He cherished his time with his family, especially when cooking his famous goulash that brought everyone together. Lenny was a member of the John Billington VFW Post #6495, Levittown Memorial American Legion Post#960, and the Long Beach Island Fishing Club.
He is survived by his beloved wife of 51 years, Kathy A. (Hassett). Lenny will also be deeply missed by his children, Meeghan Harris (Bill), Mike Callan (Dottie), Matt Callan, and Katie O’Brien (Mike); his 12 grandchildren and one great grandchild on the way and his siblings Nora Adickes (Joe), Ruthie Callan and Billy Callan. Lenny was also preceded in death by his siblings, Jerry, Terry, and Greg Callan.
