Lynn Mooney

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Lynn (Sorensen) Mooney of Bensalem, who left this world peacefully on Thursday July 3, 2025, at the age of 81. Born on October 2, 1943, in Philadelphia, PA, to the late Eng (Johnson) and Carl Sorensen was formerly of Port St. Lucie, Florida.

Lynn devoted her career to her role as an administrator in the construction industry, particularly with K. Hovnanian for over 20 years. But her true legacy lies in her unwavering love for her family and the joy she brought to those around her. A passionate Eagles and Phillies fan, Lynn enjoyed crocheting, painting ceramics, and indulging in her favorite shopping adventures on QVC and at Boscov’s.

She is survived by her beloved husband of 57 years, Francis Mooney, and her four adoring daughters: Lisa Mooney-McGinley (Stephen), Kelly Mooney-Harris, Tracey Mooney-Bell (Frank), and Shannon Mooney. Lynn leaves behind a vibrant family of 13 grandchildren—Kaitlynn, Veronica, Emily, Natalie, Justin, Hailee, Chase, Gia, Gavin, Steven, Cameron, Frankie, and Amber—and 7 great-grandchildren—Cali, Sienna, Lincoln, Amari, Mateo, Alessa, and Kennedy, and grandfurbaby, Molly—who will forever cherish the special moments shared with their devoted grandmother. Lynn was preceded in death by her daughter, Kimberly Mooney.

Lynn's legacy of love and compassion will continue to inspire all who knew her. We invite friends and family to join us in celebrating her life during a graveside service at Forest Hills Cemetery, 101 Byberry Road Huntingdon Valley, Pennsylvania 19116 on July 11, 2025, at 11:00 AM.
