Lynn A. Sims

Heaven gained another angel in Lynn Sims. Her time on earth ended at 66 years of age on August 17th, but her spirit lives eternal aside her beloved husband of 38 years, Norman, and her daughter, Tiffany. She had a zest for life that was unmatched and always had a smile on her face. Lynn had a wonderful career at Amtrak, spanning from Timekeeping to Customer Relations. Family, though, was most important to her and spending quality time with them was her favorite activity, whether it was camping, decorating, antique and vintage hunting, going to the best yard sales, or sewing and creating crafts with Tiffany, not to mention riding Harleys with Norman. An eternal hippie, she grabbed life by the horns and lived every day, sharing her indominable spirit with everyone she met. She was strength and kindness personified. Her love of animals, especially those in need, was unmatched and she always went out of her way to help anyone who crossed her path. Lynn always cared for others and helped her family in any way she could. Knowing her made you a better person because she had a way of showing you how to enjoy life and love others just a little bit better. She was a proud member of “Team Sims”, our family unit. An “I love you” was always met with an “I love you more” and the light she brought to the world will never dull. A lesson to be learned from her would be “Live life to the fullest and love with everything you have”. She is survived by Norman and Tiffany, as well as her brothers Ted Davis (Debbie) and Jim Davis (Gerry). Services and interment are private.
