Margaret Smack

Margaret A. Sheppard Smack of Philadelphia died Thursday, Aug. 6, 2015, in Bensalem, at the home of her son. She was 80. Margaret was a Bell Telephone operator, retiring after 30 years of service. She enjoyed cooking and watching cooking shows on television, spending time in her backyard watching Mother Nature, and also going to Parx Casino and casinos in Atlantic City. Margaret is survived by her son, John E. Janiszewski (Deborah); grandchildren, Jonathan "John" and Shannon Wooten (Michael); and three great-grandchildren, Gianna, Sahara, and Nicholas. She was the dear sister of Sarah "Sally" Casper (Richard), Jean Bowen, Robert Sheppard (Pearl), and Ellen Reimers. Margaret was preceded in death by her son, Joseph "Jay" Janiszewski. Relatives and friends are invited to her viewing from 9 to 10 a.m. Thursday, at Christ the King Roman Catholic Church, 3252 Chesterfield Road, Philadelphia, PA 19114, followed by a Funeral Mass at 10 a.m. Rite of Committal Hillside Cemetery.
