Maria C. Pero

Maria C. Pero, a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and aunt passed away peacefully on August 2, 2026, at the age of 79. Born on August 10, 1946, in Philadelphia, PA, to the late Michael N. and Filippa (nee Piazza) Polizze, Maria dedicated her life to her family and her work as an Administrative Secretary with the City of Philadelphia Jury Selection.

Maria will be deeply missed by her husband of 56 years, Ralph Pero, and her children, Jason Pero (Fern) and Christina Glass (David), her dear sister Nina Stewart (George) and her sister-in-law Tami Polizze (the late Michael). Maria’s legacy lives on through her cherished grandchildren, Joshua, Olivia, Luke, and Isabella, who brought her immense joy and pride.

Maria was an active member of the St. Ephrem Church Choir, where her love for music flourished. She was known for her culinary skills, particularly her baking, which delighted family and friends. A passionate traveler, she particularly enjoyed her trips to Barbados, creating memories that will last a lifetime.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend Maria’s visitation at St. Ephrem Church, 5400 Hulmeville Road, Bensalem, Pa 19020 on Friday, 8/7 from 10:00-11:00 AM followed by her mass at 11:00 AM. Interment will take place at Resurrection Cemetery.
