Marianne R. Wolset

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved mother, sister, and friend, Marianne R. (Wiegand) Wolset, who left us on Sunday March 22, 2026, at the age of 92. Born on November 29, 1933, in Philadelphia, PA, to the late Crescentia (Hermley) and George Wiegand and was a resident of Bensalem for the past 71 years. Marianne was a devoted homemaker and a cherished matriarch, leaving a lasting impact on all who knew her. 

Marianne's life was filled with love, creativity, and joy. She had a passion for quilting, crocheting, and gardening, often sharing her beautiful creations with friends and family. An avid sports fan, she never missed a chance to cheer on her beloved Philadelphia teams. Her adventurous spirit shone brightly when traveling with her daughters, creating unforgettable memories and bonding moments that they will always treasure. Most importantly, Marianne cherished her family above all else. Game nights and family holidays were a highlight of her life, filled with laughter, love, and shared stories.

Marianne was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 67 years, Francis “Pete” Wolset. She leaves behind her loving children: John F. Wolset (Dawn), David M Wolset (Kathy), Robert C. Wolset (Ann Kristine), Patrice A. Gaynor (Marty), Lynn F. Ahlers (John), and Marianne Darrah (Ed). Marianne will also be deeply missed by her 9 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchild; and her siblings, George Wiegand and Dorothy Dowling. She was also preceded in death by her sister, Joan McCloskey. 

Relatives and friends are invited to attend her viewing Saturday March 28, 2026, from 2 to 3 PM at the Tomlinson Funeral Home, 2207 Bristol Pike, Bensalem, PA 19020, followed by her service at 3 PM. Interment will be private. www.tomlinsonfh.com
