Marie Gosik

It is with deepest sorrow that we announce the passing of Marie Gosik, a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, and friend. Marie, born in Philadelphia, PA on April 3, 1936, to the late Peter and Catherine Yancer, peacefully left this world on October 25, 2024.

Marie dedicated her life to her family, finding joy in being a devoted homemaker and supporting her loved ones. Embracing her passion for crocheting, she lovingly created blankets and hats for patients at Fox Chase Cancer Center, offering warmth and comfort during challenging times. In her later years, Marie became tech-savvy, showcasing a keen interest in modern technology, all while maintaining her dedication to her family.

A true fan of the Philadelphia Phillies, Marie's enthusiasm for baseball often shone through during spirited game days. Her love for the sport brought cherished moments shared with family and friends.

Marie will forever live on in the hearts of her daughter Donna Kantruss (the late Laird), daughter Renee Gosik (Chris Wheeler), daughter Debra Heath (David), son Mark Gosik (Donna Jean) son Jason Gosik (Karen), her 11 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren. Marie was preceded in death by her husband of 65 years, Walter in 2021, as well as her siblings, Nick Yancer, and Catherine Burke.

To honor and celebrate Marie's life, funeral services will be held at St. Ephrem Church, 5401 Hulmeville Road, Bensalem, Pa 19020 on November 4, 2024, with a mass commencing at 11:00 AM. Prior to the service, a public viewing will be held at the church beginning at 10:00 AM. Interment will take place at Resurrection Cemetery.

Marie's kindness, love, and dedication will forever be remembered, and her legacy will continue to inspire all who had the privilege of knowing her. May she rest in eternal peace.
