Mary R. Kliniewski (née Harshbarger), age 87, of Northeast Philadelphia, passed away peacefully on March 24, surrounded by those she loved.
Mary was predeceased by her beloved husband, Raymond E. Kliniewski, Sr., and her parents, James and Zula (née Hall) Harshbarger.
Her legacy lives on through her devoted daughter, Karen; her son, Raymond, Jr. and his wife Lisa; and her cherished grandchildren, Laura, Alexa, and Matthew.
Mary was known for her determination, resilience, and unwavering dedication to her family, often working multiple jobs to provide for them and ensure they had every opportunity. She instilled in her family a strong work ethic and sense of responsibility that will continue to guide them for generations.
Her tenacity and attention to detail carried through her professional life. After graduating from South Philadelphia High School in 1956, she began her career as a bookkeeper and, through discipline and perseverance, rose to the position of Assistant Controller.
In her earlier years, Mary cherished weekends at the shore, where she would sit with her chair in the ocean and read an entire book in just two days. She also enjoyed knitting and playing board games.
A devoted Christian, Mary raised her children in the Catholic faith, a foundation that remained central throughout her life.
Her strength, love, and quiet sacrifices will never be forgotten.
