Mary T. Pierce

Mary T. Pierce, (Yozallinas) age 64 of Bensalem, passed away Tuesday, August 10, 2021 at Jefferson Torresdale Hosp., in Phila. Born in Phila., she was a resident of Bensalem for 42 years. Mary was a longtime member of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Church, where she was a CCD Instructor for close to 30 years, as well as having served various roles within the parish. She worked as a customer service representative at Spiegel Catalog for 12 years, and was a volunteer chaperone with the PYC (Pennsylvania Youth Chorale) for many years. She was also active with St. Thomas Aquinas Church and was a Teacher with the C.A.R.E.S. program at St. Ephrem Church for the past 8 years. Mary will be sadly missed by her beloved husband, Joseph, and her 4 children; Mary Theresa, Joseph Jr. (Jessica), Michael (Cynthia), and Katie. Dearest sister of Barbara McClain (Joseph), John Yozallinas (Eileen), Janet Snyder (Dean), Paul Yozallinas, and James Yozallinas (Christina), and the sister-in-law of Edmund Pierce, Jr. (Christine). She is also survived by 3 grandchildren; Bennett, Eleanor, Matthew and one on the way; her Uncle, “Val” Capone, 2 Aunts; Joan Deola and Irene Capone, as well as several cousins, nieces, nephews and family members. Mary was preceded in death by her parents, Joseph F. and Jeanette Yozallinas, her brother, Joseph “Joie” R. Yozallinas and her sisters-in-law, Karen Yozallinas and Carol Pierce. Mary’s long list of good deeds is never-ending, and in keeping with her loving and generous spirit, her final act was to give the gift of life through organ and tissue donation. Relatives and friends are invited to attend her funeral Tuesday, August 17 10:00 am at St. Ephrem Church 5400 Hulmeville Rd., Bensalem, PA 19020 followed by her Funeral Mass at 11:00 am. Rite of committal will be at Resurrection Cemetery, Bensalem. In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be made to the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia (CHOP), 3401 Civic Center Blvd., Phila., PA 19104.
