Mary C. Thompson

It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Mary C. “Bunches” Thompson, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, who left this world peacefully on March 22, 2026, at the age of 69. Born on June 23, 1956, in Philadelphia, PA, to the late Frank and Mary (nee Munizza) Murray, Mary lived a life filled with love, laughter, and cherished memories.

Mary was a dedicated secretary at NJM Insurance, where she made lasting connections with her colleagues and clients alike. Known for her warm smile and compassionate nature, Mary touched the hearts of everyone she met. She will be remembered for her unwavering support of her family and her adventurous spirit, particularly her love for camping, where she created unforgettable moments with her loved ones. 

She is survived by her devoted husband, Barry Thompson, her sons, Thomas McLaughlin and Ryan McLaughlin, Doug Thompson, and her daughter, Dana Thompson (John), and her grandchildren, Lillyana, Liam, and Melody. Mary also leaves behind her sister, Geraldine Wallace (Donald), and her brother, Frank Murray (the late Kathleen), along with a host of extended family and dear friends who will miss her dearly. She was preceded in death by her sister, Diane Blackwell. 

Her passing leaves a profound void in the hearts of those who knew her. Services and interment are private. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made in Mary’s name to the American Cancer Society, American Cancer Society.
