Mary R. Van Dyke

Mary R. (Taggart) Van Dyke of Bensalem was born in Sussex, New Jersey, to the late Emma (Francisco) and Jack Burger. Although she was a longtime resident of Bensalem, she spent her youth outside of Dallas, Texas. Mary dedicated 25 years of service to DuPont, where she worked in the credit department.

She will be lovingly remembered and deeply missed by her devoted husband of 20 years, John Van Dyke; her children, Charles Brotzman, Kent Brotzman, and her stepchildren Alex Van Dyke (Kait), and Nick Van Dyke (Emily); her cherished grandchildren, Liam, Landon, and Weston. She is also survived by her beloved niece, Kimberly Lopez; her dear cousin, Alberta Dolittle; and many loving nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends whose lives she touched throughout the years. Mary was preceded in death by her son, John Brotzman, and her siblings, Mig Kenney, Raymond Kemmer, Billy Kemmer, Kenny Taggart, Lillian Taggart, and her twin brother, Jimmy Taggart.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend her visitation Friday September 4, 2026, from 1 to 2 PM at the Tomlinson Funeral Home, 2207 Bristol Pike, Bensalem, PA 19020, followed by her service at 2 PM. Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory can be made to the St. Jude’s Children Research Hospital (See Donation Link).
