It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Patricia A. Cawley, beloved mother, nana, sister, aunt, and friend, who left us peacefully on July 17, 2025, at the age of 81. Patricia was born on September 18, 1943, in Philadelphia, PA, to the late Philip and Eleanor (nee Ryan) Smith. She moved to Levittown as a teenager where she created lasting memories with her family and friends.
Patricia was proud of her Irish heritage, a trait she carried with grace and joy throughout her life. She enjoyed curling up with a good book, exploring new places through travel, and savoring a glass of red wine enjoyed with ice and a straw. Patricia cherished her moments spent with her grandchildren, attending their various activities and supporting them with unwavering love. She also relished afternoons shared with close friends and family at Miller's Ale House, where laughter and camaraderie flourished around the table.
Patricia leaves behind a loving legacy, including her children, Dawn Luterio (Edward), Tara Hammond (Robert), Greg Pietrzykowski (Jennifer), James Cawley IV (Suzanne), and Therese McDonald (Raymond); her grandchildren, Alyssa Luterio (Alex), Olivia Luterio-Foley (Rob), Bobby Hammond, Kate Hammond, Ella Pietrzykowski, Avery Pietrzykowski, Ian McDonald, Allissa McDonald-Myers (John), Colin McDonald, and Nick Cawley; her brothers Philip Smith (Susann), and Gerald Smith (Carol); sister Linda Lee; sister-in-law Carrie Smith; friends Marge McGinnis & Mary Ryan; and many nieces and nephews. Her spirit will live on in the hearts of all who were fortunate to know her. Patricia was preceded in death by her husband, James Cawley III; her son, Mark Pietrzykowski; her brother Peter Smith (Carrie); and her nephews Ryan Smith & Glenn Smith.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend Patricia’s viewing at St. Mark’s Catholic Church, 1025 Radcliffe Street, Bristol, Pa 19007 on Friday, July 25th from 9:00-10:00 AM followed by her Mass at 10:00 AM. Interment will take place at Resurrection Cemetery.
In these moments of remembrance, we celebrate Patricia's warmth, her unwavering spirit, and the love that she so generously shared. She will be profoundly missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her.
