Patricia Rose Kniffin

June 8, 1952 — February 5, 2025

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Patricia Rose Kniffin, beloved mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, who departed this life peacefully on February 5, 2025, at the age of 72. Patricia was born on June 8, 1952, in Philadelphia, PA, to the late Gerald and Mary Anne Cavanaugh, and spent her life dedicated to caring for others, both as a nurse and a compassionate member of her community.

Patricia earned her Associate's Degree and devoted her professional life to healthcare, serving with distinction at St. Mary Medical Center. Her unwavering commitment to the well-being of others extended beyond her work; she was also a dedicated school nurse for the Bensalem Township School District, where she touched the lives of countless children and their families. As a Eucharistic Minister at St. Ephrem Church and St. Mary Medical Center, Patricia shared her deep faith and commitment to service, providing comfort and support to her parish community.

She is survived by her loving daughters, Christine Kelley (the late Sean), Colleen Buchinsky (Brian), Carolyn Zeisler (Jason), and son Steve Kniffin (Fiancé Kaitie), as well as her grandchildren, Kiley, Caitlyn, Isabella, Devon, Ava, Lyla, Leo, Cameron, Leighton, and Lucy. Patricia’s legacy of love and kindness will also be cherished by her brother, William Cavanaugh (Sue), sister Mary Jane Brophy (the late Thomas), and her brothers Michael Cavanaugh (Pamela) and Joseph Cavanaugh. She will be deeply missed by her family and friends who were blessed to know her.

Family and friends are invited to attend Patricia’s Viewing at St. Ephrem Church, 5400 Hulmeville Road, Bensalem, PA 19020 on Thursday, February 13th from 10:00-11:00 AM followed by her Mass at 11:00 AM. Interment will take place at Resurrection Cemetery.

Patricia Rose Kniffin will be remembered for her compassionate spirit, her dedication to others, and the love she shared so freely. May her memory be a source of strength and inspiration to all who were fortunate enough to know her.
