Paul Gregory Purtell

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Paul Gregory Purtell, who left us on Thursday September 24, 2026, at the age of 78. Paul was born on February 2, 1948, in Greenfield, Ohio, to the late Helen (Howe) and Paul Eugene Purtell and spent his life surrounded by the love of family and friends in Levittown, PA.

Paul was a dedicated HVAC Technician and proudly owned and operated TP Air for over 40 years. His commitment to his craft was only matched by his love for his country, as he served honorably in the U.S. Air Force during the Vietnam War, achieving the rank of Sergeant. He was a proud lifetime member of the VFW Post 9220 (Harry T. Clunn Memorial Post), where he cherished many crab nights with friends and fellow veterans. Paul enjoyed volunteering for the Bensalem Memorial Day Parade and was always eager to lend a helping hand at the annual picnics for the Delaware Valley Veterans Home, demonstrating his deep commitment to supporting fellow veterans.

Outside of work and military service, Paul had a zest for life. He loved fishing, spending time at the beach, and indulging in cooking shows. Few things brought him as much joy as cheering on his Philadelphia Eagles, never missing a game while enthusiastically rooting for his team.

Paul will be sadly missed by his wife, Wilma (Lewis) Purtell, along with his cherished daughters, April Spahits (Robert) and Jamie O'Leary (Christopher). He was a proud grandfather to Scott, Thomas, Madison, and Griffin, and a delighted great-grandfather to Scarlett.

Paul will be deeply missed by his brother Ralph Purtell (Carol), and his sisters Patricia Bucher (The late Robert) and Susan Purtell, along with countless friends extended family members.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend his viewing, Thursday October 8, 2026, from 11:30 AM to 12:30 PM at the Tomlinson Funeral Home, 2207 Bristol Pike, Bensalem, PA 19020, followed by his service at 12:30 PM. Interment Washington Crossing National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory can be made to the Guardians of the National Cemetery Foundation, P.O.
