Raymond I Bader, of Croydon, Pennsylvania, passed away peacefully on March 27, 2024, at the age of 77. Born in Philadelphia, to the late Kathryn T. (Dempsey) and John G. Bader and was a resident of Croydon for over 45 years.
Ray proudly served in the US Navy during the Vietnam War before joining PGW as a dedicated Boiler & Heater Technician for over two decades. He was a lifetime member of both the Union Fire Company Station #37 and Croydon Fire Company Station #11, holding various leadership roles, including Trustee and Fire Police Captain for many years.
Ray's commitment to serving his community extended beyond his professional life, as he was always ready to lend a helping hand to those in need. He found his greatest joy in spending time with his loving family, especially with his grandchildren.
Ray will be deeply missed by his beloved wife of 37 years, Linda (Yeager) Bader. He is also survived by his children, Jennifer Maslanka (Dave), John Yeager (Stephanie), Christine Bader and Raymond Prodorutti. Loving Pop-Pop of 5 grandchildren: Payton, Morgan, DJ, Logan and Dylan and brother to Barbara Golding, Kathleen DeBickes, John Bader and Charles “Chuck” Bader and will be greatly missed by many other loving family members and friends. Ray was also preceded in death by his sisters Thelma, and Susan Bader.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend his visitation, Friday April 12, 2024 from 10 to 11 AM at the Union Fire Company, Station#37, 2067 State Rd., Bensalem, PA 19020, followed by his service at 11 AM.
