Raymond Francis Mcgettigan

On January 28, 2022, Raymond Francis “Ray” McGettigan Jr., age 77, of Bensalem PA, passed away while surrounded by his loving family. Ray was the oldest of four children born to Ray Sr. and Margaret (nee Flynn), born November 29, 1944. Ray was very proud to grow up with his brothers and sister in East Falls. After high school, Ray went to Temple University and graduated with a degree in Political Science. Ray also served as the president of the fraternity Delta Sigma Pi. While at Temple, he met his first wife, Patricia O’Donnell, also of Philadelphia. Ray and Pat had their son Raymond III before divorcing years later. Pat and Ray remained friends until Ray passed. Ray married Eleanor Joy Huber and had two more sons: Darren and Kiel. Ray really found his passion in life when he became a grandfather. Ray and his oldest grandson, Ray IV often traveled up and down the East Coast. Ray could always be found on the sidelines of a rugby pitch or on the side of a wrestling mat cheering on his grandkids. Ray was super proud of all of his grandchildren: Raymond IV, Gabriel, Liam, Fiona, and Holden. In addition to his love of his family, Ray also loved the Eagles. Ray was preceded in death by his parents, his sister, Peggy, his brother Billy, his grandson, Logan, and his wife Joy. Ray is survived by his three sons: Ray III, Darren, and Kiel, daughters in law, Nikki, Angela, and Jes, his brother, Danny (Maris), and many nieces and nephews and his grandchildren. Relatives and friends are invited to attend Ray’s Viewing at the Tomlinson Funeral Home, 2207 Bristol Pike, Bensalem, PA 19020 on Friday, February 4th from 6:00-7:00 PM followed by his Service at 7:00 PM. Interment will be private.
