Regina Marie Lang (Levittown/Poconos, PA and Hillsborough, NJ) passed away on November 28th at 79 years old. Regina, also known by many affectionate names (such as Jeannie, Jean, Mom, Grand mom, and GiGi) was born the fourth of six children in Detroit, Michigan in 1942.
In her professional life, Regina was a pioneering engineer for New Jersey’s telephone company, where she worked for more than 30 years. She began there as a switchboard operator before working her way up to become one of the first female Directors of Engineering.
In her personal life, Regina had a deep passion for music and would express that passion in wonderful ways. She could often be found joyously singing and dancing around the house after her workdays and again for hours on end on the weekends. She also participated in organized music as a singer and guitarist in her own band, as a volunteer vocalist at her church (while also serving as an ordained Eucharistic Minister for her parish), and most impressively, Regina was known for her unique and prolific yodeling abilities.
After helping put her sons through college, Regina with her husband at the time (Walt Sr.), even found the time to become a dedicated and loving foster parent to more than a dozen children-in-need over the course of multiple decades.
Regina was a loving mother to two sons, loving grandmother to two grandchildren, and loved her many nieces and nephews. Regina was especially devoted to family and gave all her love to all those who surrounded her. She will be deeply missed by her sons: Walter Lang Jr. (Courtney), and William “Ricky” Lang (Dennis), her grandchildren: Riley Marie Lang and Tyler James Lang, and her siblings: Jessieann “Cookie” Gable (the late Frank), Nancy Warner (Duke), Joanne Else (the late Charles), and William Costic. Regina was preceded in death by her sister, Jeannine Gender (the late Jimmy). Relatives and friends are invited to attend her Visitation at the Tomlinson Funeral Home, 2207 Bristol Pike, Bensalem, Pa 19020 on Friday, December 3rd from 6:00-7:00 PM. There will be a second Visitation at St. Thomas Aquinas Church, 601 Bristol Pike, Croydon, PA 19021 on Saturday, December 4th from 9:30-10:30 AM followed by her Mass at 10:30 AM. Interment will be private.
