Robert B. Catalano

Robert B. Catalano of Philadelphia passed away suddenly Tuesday, October 19, 2021, at his residence. He was 73 years old. Born in Monmouth, NJ, Robert was a resident of Philadelphia for the last 15 years and was formerly of Huntingdon Valley. He was a graduate of Philadelphia College of Pharmacy & Science, BS Class of 1971 and PharmD, Class of 1972. Robert worked as a PharmD with ECOG (Eastern Cooperative Oncology Group) for over 20 years, and previously with Fox Chase Cancer Center, Hahnemann Hospital and the Jefferson University Hospital. He was an avid sports fan throughout his life, playing football, baseball and basketball in his youth and in his later years, playing in adult ice hockey leagues. Robert will be sadly missed by his two loving children: Robert Catalano (Erin) and Kristen Hicks (Shane, Sr.). He is also survived by his sister, Diane Taylor (Larry); His 4 grandchildren: Sebastian, Beatriz, Henry and Lucia; 2 step-grandchildren, Sam and Shane Hicks, Jr; Nieces and nephews: Vin D’Esposito, Nicole Flammia (Matthew), Ashley and Joseph D’Esposito, Melissa Taylor and Dawn Tuite (Brian) and many loving great nieces and great nephews. Robert was preceded in death by his parents, Felix J. and Eleanor (Cook) Catalano and his siblings, Janet D’Esposito and Gene Catalano. Relatives and friends are invited to attend his visitation, Saturday October 30, 2021, from 10 to 11 AM at the Tomlinson Funeral Home, P.C., 2207 Bristol Pike, Bensalem, PA 19020, followed by his service at 11 AM.
