It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Robert Sloan Hendrickson, who left us on December 22, 2025, at the age of 70. Robert was born on April 12, 1955, in Philadelphia, PA, and he spent his later years in Conway, SC and Bradford New Hampshire, where he embraced life with a passion that inspired those around him.
As a dedicated truck driver, Robert traversed the open roads, but it was not just the journeys that defined him. He was a proud man who cherished his Native American heritage and loved sharing stories of his culture with family and friends. His creativity blossomed in his artistic pursuits, particularly in crafting and woodworking, where he found joy in creating beautiful, handmade pieces. Robert had a special fondness for Ford vehicles and took pride in the craftsmanship and heritage they represented.
Robert will be deeply missed by his loving companion, Debra Turner. He is survived by his beloved mother, Kathleen McQuillen; his sisters, Kathleen Matczak (Steven), Barbara Nagle (Joseph), and Corinne Ley; his brother, Andrew Hendrickson; and his cherished nephews, Steven Matczak (Sara) and Christian Pugh, and nieces, Jennifer Pittman (Jeremy), Samantha Black; Sarah Brumfield (Anthony Jr); Sloan Hatter and his great nephews Steven and Ronan Matczak and Branden Black and Anthony Brumfield III; his great niece: Kiera Rose and many other loving extended family members and friends.
