Ronald S. Glorioso

June 18, 1942 — October 22, 2021

Ronald S. Glorioso, age 79 of Langhorne, passed away October 22, 2021 at St. Mary Medical Center, Langhorne. Born in Philadelphia, Ron was a graduate of Northeast Catholic High School class of 1960.

Since the early 1970’s Ron had been a fixture in Pennsylvania Thoroughbred Racing. He was stabled at Liberty Bell Park, and was the very first trainer on the grounds at Keystone Race Track (now Parx Racing). In 2016, Ron was inducted into the Parx Racing Hall of Fame. During his career, his stable won more than 1000 races. Before becoming a horse trainer, he started his career as a Mounted Pennsylvania State Trooper where his passion for horses began.

Ron was on the Board of Directors of the Pennsylvania Thoroughbred Horsemen’s Association since 2007. He was active in the community as of member of Newtown Reliance Company for The Detecting And Apprehending Of Horse Thieves and Other Villains for the past 36 years. He also was a member of The Upper Makefield Business Men’s Association where he held the role of vice president in 85’.

He is survived by his significant other Dr. Deborah Mood; his brother Patrick and wife Patricia Glorioso; and sister-in-law Kathleen Glorioso and Ralph (recently deceased); daughters Adina Hering and her husband John; Anita Huss and her husband Jeff. He is also survived by his 5 grandchildren: Brody, Cole, Bryce, Sommer and Molly. Ron was preceded in death by his parents Salvatore Glorioso and Florence Getchell and step-father Francis.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend his visitation Friday 11:00 am at the Tomlinson Funeral Home, 2207 Bristol Pike, Bensalem, PA 19020 followed by his service at 1:00 pm. A private burial will be held at a later date at Our Lady of Grace Cemetery, Langhorne, PA. In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory may be made to: The Granny Scholarship Fund PO Box 300 Bensalem, PA 19020.
