It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Rose Ann Alexander, who left this world peacefully on January 19, 2025, at the age of 94. Born on July 26, 1930, in Philadelphia, PA, to the late George and Rose (nee McFarland) Fox.
Rose lived a life filled with love, dedication, and resilience. For many years, she worked as a factory worker at Simon & Schuster, where her unwavering commitment and strong work ethic were well-recognized by her colleagues. Rose Ann Alexander will be remembered for her kindness, strength, and the indelible mark she left on the hearts of those who knew her. She will be dearly missed, but her spirit will continue to live on in her family and all who had the pleasure of knowing her.
Rose is survived by her children: Nancy Catucci (the late William), Stanley Alexander (the late Maria), and George Alexander (Kathleen). Rose will also be deeply missed by her 12 Grandchildren, 17 Great-Grandchildren, 1 great great grandchild, and many nieces and nephews. Her family was her greatest joy, and she cherished the moments spent with them, filling their lives with warmth and laughter. Rose was preceded in death by her husband, William in 1968, her children, William Alexander (Barbara) and John Alexander (Anita), and her siblings, George Fox (the late Lois) and Mary Vickery (the late Walt).
Family and friends are invited to celebrate Rose’s life at St. Thomas Aquinas Church on January 27, 2025, with a public viewing starting at 9:30 AM followed by a Mass at 10:30 AM. Following the Mass, Rose will be laid to rest at North Cedar Hill Cemetery, 6064 Frankford Avenue in Philadelphia, PA.
