It is with sadness we announce the passing of Rosetta J. (Vanderhoef) Neal, who departed this life peacefully on Sunday, March 2, 2025, at the age of 95. Born in Royal Oak, MI, to the late Lyda M. (Jeffrey) and Rollan "Ed" Vanderhoef and was a resident of Bensalem for the past year and was formerly of West Chester, PA.
Rosetta lived a vibrant life, characterized by her passion for flying planes, which she enthusiastically began pursuing in her 60s. In addition to soaring through the skies, she cherished spending time in her yard, cultivating beauty and tending to her plants. A dedicated bird watcher, Rosetta found joy in the simple pleasures of nature, always keenly aware of the fluttering life that surrounded her. She also enjoyed baking cookies and sweets for her neighbors that would so kindly do things for her whether it was helping with yard work, bringing in her mail, going to the store, anything she needed.
Rosetta was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 25 years, Hilary “Larry” Ralph Neal. She will be deeply missed by her loving children, Christopher Neal (Valerie); Sean Neal (Susan) and Lauri Marciano (Kevin). She is also survived by her grandchildren; Matthew Neal (Malin), Oliver Schultz (Kearsen), Christopher Marciano (Fiancé Kristy Offenback), Nicholas and Julian Paulino. Rosetta’s legacy continues with her great-grandchildren, Evelina and Solveig Neal, and Everett and Thea Schultz, who will carry her spirit forward. She was also preceded in death by her granddaughter, Catari Schultz and her siblings, Mary Ermatinger (Robert) and Jewel Cook (Ray)
Relatives and friends are invited to attend her visitation, Saturday March 22, 2025, from 11:00 to 12:00 at the Tomlinson Funeral Home, 2207 Bristol Pike, Bensalem, PA 19020, followed by her service at 12:00 PM. Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory can be made to the Brandywine Valley SPCA or the Women’s Animal Center, the links are at the bottom of this page.
