Ruth Oon Nom Hom

With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Ruth Hom, a beloved sister, educator, and friend, who peacefully left this world on March 18, 2024. Ruth was born on May 6, 1952, in Philadelphia, PA

Throughout her life, Ruth dedicated herself to the field of education, shaping the minds of countless students in the Philadelphia School District. Her passion for teaching was evident in the way she nurtured and inspired those around her, leaving a lasting impact on all who had the pleasure of knowing her.

Ruth found joy in the simple things in life and had a deep love for gardening, cooking, and curling up with a good book. Her warm smile and gentle spirit will be dearly missed by all who were fortunate enough to have crossed paths with her.

Ruth is survived by her loving sister, Viola Hom, who will cherish her memory forever. A Graveside Service in her honor will take place at Hillside Cemetery on March 25, 2024, at 11:45 am, following a Public Viewing at Tomlinson Funeral Home at 10:30 am. She will be laid to rest at Hillside Cemetery, where friends and family will gather to bid her a final farewell.
